  • sour cream (2 tablespoons) - can substitute with Greek yogurt
  • sliced avocado (1 pieces) - for topping
  • cut into wedges lime (1 pieces) - for garnish

  • olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • black pepper (0.25 teaspoon)
  • salt (0.25 teaspoon)
  • garlic powder (0.5 teaspoon) - for aroma
  • paprika (0.5 teaspoon) - for color and flavor
  • chili powder (1 teaspoon) - for spice

Instructions

Prepare the Fish

  • Mix chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  • Rub the spice mixture over the fish strips evenly.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook fish strips for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.

Roast the Broccoli

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Toss broccoli florets in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread broccoli on a baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly charred.

Assemble the Tacos

  • Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or on a grill.
  • Fill each tortilla with cooked fish, top with cabbage, avocado slices, and jalapeño slices if using.
  • Drizzle with a mixture of sour cream (or yogurt) and a squeeze of lime juice.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.

Tips

  • For extra crispy fish, coat the strips with panko breadcrumbs before frying.
  • Add pickled onions to the tacos for a tangy twist.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the chili powder in the fish seasoning.
  • Substitute corn tortillas with flour tortillas if preferred.
  • Add a splash of lime juice to the broccoli before roasting for added flavor.
