Ingredients

  • cooked and chopped lobster (150 grams) - preferably fresh or thawed from frozen
  • black pepper (0.25 teaspoons) - freshly ground
  • salt (0.5 teaspoons)
  • olive oil (1 tablespoons) - extra virgin preferred
  • juiced lime (1 whole)
  • sriracha (1 tablespoons) - or any hot sauce of choice
  • mayonnaise (3 tablespoons)
  • red chili flakes (0.5 teaspoons) - adjust to taste for spice level
  • sliced green onion (2 stalks)
  • chopped cilantro (2 tablespoons)
  • sliced avocado (1 medium)
  • halved cherry tomatoes (0.5 cups)
  • arugula (1 cups) - for a peppery flavor
  • mixed salad greens (2 cups) - such as romaine, spinach, or a pre-packaged mix
  • cooked and peeled shrimp (150 grams) - medium-sized, tails removed

Instructions

Prepare the Dressing

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Adjust seasoning and spice level to taste by adding more sriracha or lime juice. Set aside.

Assemble the Salad

  • In a large bowl, combine cooked lobster, cooked shrimp, mixed salad greens, and arugula.
  • Add cherry tomatoes, avocado slices, chopped cilantro, and sliced green onions.
  • Sprinkle red chili flakes over the top, reserving some for garnish.

Dress and Serve

  • Pour the dressing over the salad mixture, gently tossing to ensure even distribution of the dressing over the seafood and vegetables.
  • Transfer the salad to serving dishes, ensuring that the seafood is prominently displayed on top.
  • Garnish with additional cilantro and a pinch more chili flakes for a vibrant presentation.

Tips

  • For a more intense seafood flavor, add some lemon zest to the dressing.
  • Mix in some chopped mango or pineapple for a sweet and spicy twist.
  • To enhance texture, consider adding toasted nuts or seeds, such as pine nuts or sunflower seeds.
  • For a non-spicy version, substitute sriracha with a mild hot sauce or omit entirely.
  • Serve immediately after preparation to maintain the freshness and crispness of the greens.
